Hello,

I’d like to raise a feature request to allow network administrators to manually assign third‑party devices, as well as TP‑Link non‑Omada hardware, into the Omada topology view. Ideally, these devices could be promoted from being identified as a generic client to being represented as a switch or infrastructure device.

This promotion should be purely representational and must not interfere with or alter the existing network configuration or control logic. The goal is to improve topology accuracy and readability, allowing administrators to maintain a cleaner, more manageable visual representation of their network—particularly in mixed‑vendor or hybrid environments.

If you support this idea, please consider voting for it.

Many thanks,

Ben

Hello, thank you for posting on the TP-Link community. We appreciate all your feedback and feature requests here. We don't have specific details on whether the feature can be implemented across or when it might be. I'll log this feature request and share it with the team.
Feel free to let us know of any other feature requests you may have; we’d be happy to send them up for you.

Don't forget to cast your vote.
