EAP653 doesn't update from 1.3.50 to latest 1.3.7
EAP653 doesn't update from 1.3.50 to latest 1.3.7
Hi all,
I updated this EAP653 long time ago with a beta version numbered 1.3.50.
Now, I'm not able to update it to 1.3.3 nor 1.3.5 nor 1.3.7 ...
I have other 2 EAP653 and I remember I was able to upgrade them, but I don't remember which firmware I had to use as first upgrade.
I'm using the OC300 controller to upgrade it manually through the device list. Basically the old way before Omada 6.0, but controller is updated to 1.32.10 .
Do you have an idea?
Thank you,
Fra

@nicolati Hi,
I confirm the occurrence of the same error. I have three EAP653(EU) v1.0 units currently running on beta version 1.3.50 Build 20250819 Rel. 57463.
The attempt to update to official version 1.3.7 ends in failure. The controller throws an error and adds the devices to the "List of corrupted devices" (Lista uszkodzonych urządzeń) in the update menu.
What's strange is that the automatic update feature sees the new version, but when I manually check by clicking the "green arrow" (check for updates), it shows that the latest version is already installed. It looks like moving from this specific beta to the newer official software is blocked or contains a file verification error.
Has anyone managed to solve this problem, e.g., by uploading some intermediate version?
Best regards!

Hi @Klimek
To update EAP653(EU) v1.0 from 1.3.50 to 1.3.7, you first need to update it to v1.3.3.
https://support.omadanetworks.com/en/product/eap653/v1/?resourceType=download

After that, you should be able to update from 1.3.3 to 1.3.7.

Thanks for your feedback.
Please first try upgrading to version 1.3.6 or 1.3.3, and then proceed to upgrade to version 1.3.7. Version 1.3.6 hasn’t been released on the official website yet; I’ve already messaged it to you. Please check your message.
Note: Please don't forward the link to others. Thanks.
If the upgrade still fails, please provide the error message from the failed upgrade attempt.
