Was just looking for the latest firmware for the AU version of the EAP673 (I noticed others saying there is later firmware available) 

 

If i go to the Australian site and get a list of available firmware i get a mix of AU and EU firmware. Only version 1.1.1 has AU in the name but then the next 2,  1.3.6 and 1.3.7 are EU

 

Is this expected? should the EU firmware be used on the AU model?

As stating before, most of the firmware are now universal so it does not matter if it says EU or AU.

And most of the countries/regions in the world are using FCC/CE regulations, so the firmware is mostly based on these two standards too.

Thanks for posting your observation to TP-Link Business Forums.

 

Regarding the firmware issue, you'd better check on the sticker attached on the actual EAP itself. It will detail the exact regional version (EU or AU).

If the sticker saying your EAP is an EU version AP, then you can try upgrading it to the EU firmware.

Additionally, though the AU website released some mixed AU & EU firmware, it sometimes does not means it will convert AU EAP to EU EAP, but likely the firmware now is universal. They are still following the AU regulations or laws.

Thanks @Gabriel-TP,  this was the point i was trying to make,  why when i go to the AU site is it listing EU firmware at all?

If i select a EU country and list the firmware for the EAP673 v1 it only gives me EU firmware.

if i select US as the country i only see US firmware.

 

So why does AU site show both AU and EU?
