Hi @smartfreenas

Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.

What's the error message when you failed to adopt this EAP? Could you please provide a screenshot of that?

The latest firmware for this EAP245 V3.0 is V5.3.3. You can upgrade it to the latest firmware and then try again. EAP245 | AC1750 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Ceiling Mount Access Point | Omada Network Support

  @smartfreenas

I was able to determine that the problem is most likely related to 100% CPU utilization on the eap245.
I installed the latest firmware, 5.3.3.
I have four of these access points, and all have 100% CPU utilization at the same time. The load on the access points is minimal.
The load is 100% even on access points that don't have clients connected.
Memory utilization is 60-70%.
How can I tell what's consuming the processor at 100%?

After rebooting by powering off the access point itself, the CPU utilization drops.

The other two access points, the EAP115-Wall(EU) v1.0 and EAP235-Wall(EU) v1.0, don't have this kind of CPU utilization.

My controller is software-based.

Hi @smartfreenas

I believe this high CPU utilization issue has been solved on firmware V5.3.2.

Since you have now upgraded it to V5.3.3, you may continues monitoring the EAPs.

If the issue persists, please provide us with the screenshots of CPU utilization.

  @smartfreenas

I found the problem, and it's in the eap245 firmware.
When connecting an Android TV SONY  to the eap245, either via WiFi or cable, all four eap245s freeze—the processor load is almost 100%.

And the load is 100% on the eap245s to which the TV isn't connected.

Hi @smartfreenas

Did the issue still persists after the firmware upgrade?

Does the overload issue only happen when connecting a SONY TV to the EAP? Does it occur when connected to a mobile phone or laptop?

  @smartfreenas

After installing firmware 5.3.3, the problem persisted.
100% CPU usage on the eap245 is only when connected to a Sony TV.
Other clients don't reach 100% CPU usage.

The main problem is that all four eap245 devices are simultaneously loading at 100%, even though the Sony TV is only connected to one.
What causes the other three eap245 to load at 100%?
