  @Geotrupus
we have the same symptoms, mine also sometimes flicker faint blue, very briefly and then remained off. Also when hard resetting the device, amber is on very brief and will then remained off. I have attempted to roll back the firmware from 1.5.2 to 1.5.0, but the symptoms is the same (blank LED) under 10G PoE++.

I am also looking to bring my unit to the repair center when I have the time. Mine was purchased in nov 2025, and must still be under warranty.

Accidentally, the blue LED started to flicker briefly this morning and I was able to capture it on video. I was not able to upload the video file but attached is a timeline of the video frames in images. So the Blue led is still functioning amid flickering

Hi  @AR_2025

Thank you so much for your feedback. We couldn't reproduce this locally.

Is it possible to get a DC cable to power on the EAP787? This is the most direct way to determine whether the issue is caused by POE or a problem with the LED hardware.

DC power interface: 12V, accepts 2.1 mm / 5.5 mm center-positive circular plug with 9 mm length.

In the meantime, I have created a support ticket for you to send the video for our further analysis. The ID is TKID260617487. Please have a check and reach back to us. Thanks.

Hi  @Geotrupus

We couldn't reproduce this locally.

Did you keep the EAP787, or have you already gotten a replacement? I have created a ticket for you to collect more info. The case ID is TKID260617498.

Please have a check and get back to us.

Sorry for late reply, I was quite busy.

When I moved the AP from my SG3428XPP-M2, Port 1 (PoE++) to Port 21 (PoE+ only), the LED keep light up in amber - which is correct, but no blue light with PoE++, regardless if connected to a PoE++ switch or an injector which provides the same. Last week, the LED briefly flickered very faint blue for a short period of time. It was barely visible in the dark, and since then it has remained off again. I'm afraid the LED itself may be defective. However, it's quite strange that the issue appeared immediately after the firmware update from 1.5.0 to 1.5.2. It looks like I will have to contact the seller and request a replacement or repair, which is unfortunate given that the access point is otherwise working perfectly.

  @Vincent-TP,

Thank you. I haven't had time yet to remove the AP from the ceiling and contact the seller about the issue. However, I will try the test first with the speperate power adapter as I do have a universal power adapter with the proper plug, but I won't be able to perform this test before early next week. How many amps are required at 12 Volts?

Best regards

Hi  @Geotrupus

Thanks for your reply.

As long as the plug’s voltage specification is met, you can test it using a home outlet.

Looking forward to your update.
