Model: VIGI NVR1004H
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 251119 Rel.70321n

Team,

We are starting with a Vigi setup based on the following devices:

1x VIGI NVR1004H(UN) 1.0 | Firmware Version 1.2.3 Build 251119 Rel.70321n

3x InSight S445 1.0 - no sdcard installed | Firmware Version 3.1.1 Build 251124 Rel.50306n

All firmware seems to be at the latest version.

I'm trying to setup continious recording and event recording.

Where the event recording results in an e-mail with the recording; either as a file or as a link to that file.

Alternatively sent an e-mail with a jpg-image that triggered the event recording.

I have made a few attempts with basic event and smart event.

But the endresult is limited to an e-mail with something detected - no recording or link to a recording.

What is reccomended to make any of this happen?

With warm regards,

- Will Moonen

  @ITV

The email function can only send to up to 3 email addresses and is not bound to specific users.

Generating event video recordings as attachments or links is also not supported.

We plan to add the ability to send emails with images in the NVR/IPC V2.1 update. This will allow attaching up to 3 event screenshots directly within the email.

Please stay tuned for this enhancement.

We suggest trying VIGI APP Notifications with Cloud VMS. After an event is triggered, the APP will push a notification to your phone. Clicking the notification will take you to the event details, where you can view it directly.

Hi  @ITV

Thanks for posting here.

Generating a link is not currently supported.

Why do you need to generate a link? If it is for easier access, we generally recommend managing this NVR through the VIGI APP. After receiving a notification, you can open the APP to view the corresponding recordings.

@Vincent-TP - thank you for the feedback and tips.

The idea is to:

(1) - have multiple users

(2) - have continious recording

(3) - have triggered event recording

Regarding (3):

Meaning that if an event occurs, selected users will receive an e-mail where they can immediately start viewing the recording that was triggered by the event. Ideally including a short time before and after the event - which could be supported by (2).

Is something likk this possible? Assuming yes (at least to some extend):

How do I make this happen?

With warm regards,
