Hi @misTx
Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.
Thank you very much for your interest in and support of TP-Link VIGI products. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the current situation.
While it is correct that TP-Link VIGI devices are not yet certified under the latest STQC requirements in India, we would like to reassure you that all VIGI products comply with major international standards and certifications, including CE, FCC, VCCI, KC, BSMI, NTRA, ONVIF, and HDMI.
This means our products fully meet global industry standards for quality, safety, and interoperability.
With respect to compatibility, all VIGI NVRs (including the NVR1008H) operate as ONVIF clients and support Profile S and Profile T. In general, if a third-party IP camera also supports ONVIF Profile S/T, basic functions such as live view and recording should work, and motion detection event reporting is expected to function under standard ONVIF implementation.
However, please note that we are unable to fully guarantee the compatibility or implementation quality of third-party cameras. Even if a camera claims ONVIF support, differences in implementation may lead to unexpected behavior. If a third-party IPC claims compatibility but does not work properly with your VIGI NVR, you are welcome to contact us for further assistance and troubleshooting.
Regarding the CP Plus you mentioned, we have previously received reports of compatibility issues between certain CP Plus cameras and VIGI NVRs. The root cause is related to non-standard delimiter usage in their ONVIF implementation, which may result in failures when adding the device to the NVR. Our development team is aware of this issue and is working on improvements, with planned optimizations in future firmware releases.
If you have already purchased the NVR, we kindly ask you to confirm the hardware version of your device so that we can provide more precise guidance and support.
Once again, thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
