Disabled all triggered actions for video signal loss, but still getting notified in my VIGI app

Model: VIGI NVR1004H-4P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 260519 Rel.6413n

Hello,

Using an NVR1004H-4P NVR (1.2.4 Build 260519 Rel.6413n) and a C340I camera (2.2.0 Build 250926 Rel.52618n) here.

In the NVR dashboard, I went to "Event > Exception detection > System exception > Video signal loss", I selected my camera, unchecked all available triggered actions, and hit "Save". Available triggered actions are: Screen Prompt,  Buzzer, Send Email, and Recording Linkage. There is no "Push notifications" in the list.

When the camera is unplugged or needs to restart, I always get a "Video loss" notification in the VIGI mobile app. How not to receive these "Video loss" notifications, without hindering other useful notifications?

Thank you.

Hi  @calande

Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.

After testing and confirmation with our engineering team, we can confirm that this feature is by design.

You can not disable the notifications.

This notification is quite important to notify you when an abnormal issue occurs on the device.

This is because the system cannot determine whether a camera’s power-off or reboot is intentional or due to an unexpected issue. In most scenarios, unexpected power loss of a camera requires immediate user attention, and therefore a notification is sent.

In addition, other types of abnormal events are also designed to be pushed to the app. However, these notifications are not frequent and typically will not interfere with or overshadow other important alerts.

The current design aligns with the needs of the majority of users.

Anyway, we would still appreciate your feedback and feature requests.
