Hi all, i am test to upgrade 1 of my CPE210v1 to the last firmware 2.0.0 and was perfectly... now i have all my network (WBS210v1.20, CPE210v1.0, v1.1 and CPE220v1.1) upgraded with the new interface and logo of TPLINK...
At the moment i don´t see any other advantage more than the new UI... and all continue working good :)

Channel width setting 5 MHz now available in Wireless menu (if region set to Test mode, might not be available in certain countries).
Also, extension channel (upper/lower) field is enabled if fixed channel is used in Test mode (was hidden field IIRC):
Wireless survey lets you restrict scan range in client mode (screeny from a CPE510 V1):
Bug still not fixed in PharOS 2.0.0: Spectrum Analysis on CPE210 still displays range 2312 to 2712 MHz instead of 2402 to 2482 MHz as shown in the CPE210's Quick Installation Guide making it hard to find best channels. Either the range or the labels seem to be wrong (reported to TP-Link several times already):
All of there 3 features were available in firmware v1 too. The third one isn't a bug, it really shows the spectrum from 2312 to 2712, I was one of them who requested this feature because in test mode you are able to use channels from 2312 to 2712MHz.
Try to downgrade to v1.3.3 TP_PharOS_1.3.3_160705 and you will see that was the same. Maybe you had very old firmware v1 so there features weren't available.
I update my cpe210(EU) v1.1 with this v2 firmware and alls go fine, but the max allowed power still 11dbm. No possibility of select country or test mode on the main screen after the reset. There is a way to get 27dbm from (EU) hardware version?
Which version did you update? This one? http://static.tp-link.com/TP_PharOS_2.0.0_161117.zip, which option did you select during flashing? Keep settings or restore default? Maybe you can try this one http://static.tp-link.com/CPE210_V2_161102.zip, and don't keep the current settings.

Nice job R1D2, thanks for the quick and thorough mini-review!
Any indication of beamforming coming back? Any changes with regards to in-situ performance differentials, anyone performed quick tests to check actual throughput compared to previous version?
Here's a quick flashback to CPEs management VLAN tested in beta firmwares back in 2015.. http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?84173-VLAN-transfer-and-management-VLAN-introduction

Now serving finite customer via f(x)=AirTime/∞ on the 5Ghz band :-/

Hola John, en país elijo la primer opcion Test_mode para que funcione sin limite de canales ni potencia... el foro es en inglés, deberías escribir en esa lengua. Saludos!

Hello John, in Country I choose the first option "Test_mode" to work without limit of channels and power ... the forum is in English, you should write in that language. Regards!

I see. But why did TP-Link not implement a selection box with range filters then like they did in CPE510? There you can restrict the range to the ones useable in most countries.
With this "feature" the Spectrum Analysis now is absolutely useless in the EU, where only frequencies 2402 to 2482 MHz (mid-frequency 2412 to 2472 MHz) are allowed. So it is actually no feature for me, but a bug in the EU edition of the CPE210.
In which countries are the other frequencies from test mode allowed?

It's probably restricted in flash (in the ART partition to be exact) like it is in WBS210(EU). I have installed PharosOS 2.0.0 on my WBS210 v1.20 and there is also no country selection and no test mode with limited TX power, although in CPE210(EU) v1.0 there is country selection menu including test mode.

Yes I would like to see the selection box too.

Nowhere, it is allowed only in testing environment/laboratory. But who cares? :D

Even better: If they can restrict channel selection and TX power if a certain region is selected, it would be easy to also adjust the range for Spectrum Analysis according to selected region.

Regulation authorities. Fines in Germany are in the range of 3,000 to 6,000 Euro and are imposed often, but mainly for exceeding TX power with amplifiers (which are sold freely). You can see their investigation teams in action here an there:
