Problems with new EAP220 APs

Hi,
As part of my job, I've been using a set of EAP220 access points to set up temporary private WiFi networks, at a variety of different locations. With our initial set we've not experienced any problems and have been pleased with the stability and capacity of the hardware. From the web admin system, these are the specs:
Device model: EAP220
Device name: EAP220-18-a6-f7-c1-25-80
Firmware version: 2.0.2 Build 20160401 Rel. 65964
I recently ordered a second set to expand and use as a back up system, but I've had issues with them, even though they are configured the same as the original set. The specs are:
Device model: EAP220
Device name: EAP220-98-de-d0-65-b6-66
Firmware version: 2.0.2 Build 20160401 Rel. 65964
When I configure two access points, both using the same SSID and two different channels on the 5ghz band, the access point with the lower channel number couldn't be seen by my wifi scanning apps on my mobile phone. If I switched off the AP with the higher channel number it would reappear. This also meant the phone and other devices would only ever attempt to connect to the one AP.
The problem only exists with the new set, so I'm guessing there has been a hardware revision, given the different device name in the specs. Is there a way to fix this problem, or a new model that doesn't have these issues?
Thanks!
