Last week I bought a TL-SG1016DE and TL-SG108E for bulding a small Lan with a few VLANs (Internal, External, DMZ) because price and reported features was good.
First lweb ogin and I've immediately realized I wasted my money because no way to set an Admin VLAN, no way to remove a port from VLAN1 and no fresh FW available.
Now looking for other brands because according to other threads TPLink is not interested to fix (this and other small issues).

It would be better news if this got fixed in all the versions, .. and not just version 3. This also causes security issues when you use IPv6 because when you set a port to use a specific vlan pvid and untagged traffic for that vlan the vlan 1 multicast traffic flows into that port assigning IPv6 for those clients ! Allowing those clients to connect to networks that there not supposed to connect to and breaking IPv6 routing.R1D2 wrote
Good news today: next firmware for TL-SG108E/105E v3 will fix this.

It is fixed in all versions. You can install the firmware v3 in older hw versions of the switches, too.

Are you sure about that, .. website clearly states not doing exactly that.

Go and read the thread from TP-Link engineering about availability of v3 firmware for previous HW versions.
If you take a closer look at the firmware, you will see that is indeed not firmware v3, but still firmware 1.0.0 as I wrote in my answer to your post about unsuccessful upgrade of a v3 hardware.
The website contains many false claims and errors, it is made by web designers, not engineers.
