After binding corresponding TP-Link ID, you can log in to the cloud platform (https://omada.tplinkcloud.com) to manage/monitor the Omada Controller/EAP anytime, anywhere. Eliminate the cumbersome steps to establish a VPN connection or NAT port forwarding for remote management.

2. EAP Firmware Online Upgrading

Omada Controller 3.0.2 supports online upgrading function. You can check if there have latest firmware for EAP and upgrade it online automatically, instead of downloading firmware from official website manually.

Click “Check for firmware upgrade”,then click “Batch Upgrade” button to upgrade EAP firmware to the latest version.

3. Auto Backup (Saving Database/Configuration Files Automatically)

Omada Controller 3.0.2 adds Auto Backup function, which can automatically backup data/configuration files in specific time interval to your PC.

7.Batch Upgrade function now will only take effect to EAP which belong to the current site.

8.UI Optimization. Rearranged the configuration options in Site Settings list (only take effect to current site) or Controller Settings list (take effect to all sites) according to the actual function.

9.Various known bug fixes.

Notes:

1. To use Omada Controller 3.0.x new features, you need to upgrade your EAP's firmware to the corresponding version.

Any plans for a Linux 3.0 and new firmware for the EAP245 v1. Looks like v3 got an upate to add fast roaming. Nothing for V1 :-(

Band steering with the iphone on TPLink EAP245 is bad.

1. Yes, we will publish the Linux 3.0 recently, maybe next week.

2. EAP245_v1 and EAP245_v3 are different hardware version, and EAP245_V1 has no plan to support Fast Roaming at present.

Best wish,

Jonas

Hey!

Good job. There are some really good function that are useable.

However, while trying to connect remote per Cloud the connection is always timing out. I have binded my software controller windows 3.0.2 to my id but I cannont connect from remote. Is there something that needs to be configured (port or something else). I got always loading icon after I login to the cloud while I select my software controller from the list.

Would be good if you support me. I already tried sometimes later because its a brand new version.

However I tried to access from another destinated wlan and mobile connection. No difference.

The binding was successfully

Following configuration is present at our wlan:

controller 192.168.1.91

Wlan 192.168.164.X

Firewall is configurated to allow communication into 192.168.1.91 only for specific needed omada ports

Controller has direct internet access.

My administrator account is to another email than my cloud email. Perhaps this can be an issue?

Currently we run 10 access points, 4 more are already ordered. Today morning we had 49 users :-)

Btw there is another issue I cannot follow. But this is another topic here in the forum. At the noment there is no answer for it.

Hello!

The problem is still present. Nothing happens. There is no documentation or something available to identify an issue for the user. Can you please support?

We have splitting our network into two physical lans devided by an endian firewall.

192.168.1.0/24 is hotel network - green

192.168.164.0/24 is wireless guest network - blue

Wan - red

green to blue is always allowed

blue to green is dropped instead below ports

green and blue have full free access to red

The firewall allows NO Traffic between this subnets, only mentioned ports from documentation are allowed to switch betweens the networks (I refer to EAP Controller documentation, TCP,UCP 29XXX  [i do not have the exact one in my mind right now])

Hello!

I noticed our controller was not allowed to send use port 8034.

I opened up Port TCP/UDP 8034 to red interface from 192.168.1.91 (our controller) to wan. Now it is working.
