Hello,

After a power loss the eap controller 2.5.4 doesnt start again. During initializing an error occurs "fail to start mongo db server".

I tried a repair installation but that didnt work.

On another topic i found this solution:

Try to repair the data base by running the following command:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\TP-LINK\Omada Controller\bin"
mongod --dbpath "C:\Program Files (x86)\TP-LINK\Omada Controller\data\db" –repair
Please always backup the data folder in this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\TP-LINK\Omada Controller\data, since this repair operation may damage the database if the database is too big.

But no success either.

Any other ideas?

If the repair fails and i would have to reinstall and readopt the EAPs, then all the radio settings (channel, tx Power) were lost, right?

Would the backup function of the new Omada Controller 3.02 solve that?

Are the EAP330 compatible with the Omada controller (Win 64bit)? The hompage (german site) still says eap controller 2.5.4 is still recommended for this model.

thanks for your help.

Greetings Robert

It may because the MongoDB database of Omada Controlelr has some errors. You'd better backup the data folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\TP-LINK\EAP Controller\data, uninstall the Omada Controller entirely(don't save the config file), then reinstall the Controller again.

Check whether the Controller can start up successfully. If it is working and you wanna restore the backup flie, you can replace the data folder with old one. Since there are something wrong with the MongoDB database, we are not sure if the problem happens again after replacing the data folder. If not, we still suggest you uninstall the Controller totally.

We will publish a new firmware of EAP330 recently, which can work with Controller 2.6.0 or above.
