Hi

  1. Currently not all my decives show with DNS / "normal" names and only show as MAC addresses.  On my old ASUS route I can manually assign a name to a mac address. It would be great of the Omada controller software could allow assigning names to MAC addresses, Then it would become easier to spot new devices connect or ones that are using a lot of bandwidth.
  2. Option to run broadband speed test from within the controller software.
  3. Simple 1 (or 2) click option for Guest networks, akin to Asus router option.
  4. Deep packet inspection, much like Ubiquiti can or at least have an option to record url visited addresses.

Thanks

A

Hi Arran,

Thanks for your feedback.

1. do you mean to assign a alias name to a client? If so, it would be realized in the future version.

2&4. Speed test and DPI need to work with Gateway,Omada Security Gateway with New controller is on the way, please just be patient.

3. Guest Network will be supported in the next controller version(3.1.x).

Brilliant news :-) The new Omada Security Gateway and controller , is this new hardware? I've only just bought the OC200 last month, which would be a shame if that old already. Thanks

@Arran any update on this? I'd love deep packet inspection and would wwitch from ubiquiti if there's something as my whole network is pretty much tp-link apart from the security gateway
