Help with TL-SG105E network switch?
I'm using this switch as a home solution due to having bad wifi upstairs and a couple of devices that i wanted hardwired into my router. I recently wired a Ethernet cable from my router around the outside of the house and into the problem room which contains a PC and Xbox One.
To make sure the cable worked i first plugged it into the Xbox and made sure all was fine - which it was! - Now to start using the switch, which is where the problem has come from.
So i've plugged the main ethernet cable into the switch port 1, then plugged in the xbox one and the PC to ports 2 and 3 on the the switch but for some reason the xbox won't stay connected, however, the PC is fine.
The xbox gets the connection and logs into xbox live, then after 1min it logs out of xbox live and says there is no connection!!???
Any ideas on whats gone wrong here as i thought the switch was just plug and play - i'm thinking there is a conflict of IP addresses somewhere but i'm not a network specialist
