Model: TL-R600VPN  
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.3 Build 20190227 Rel.48206

WAN: 300 mbps pppoe fiber

LAN: Cat6 shielded 12 clients

Router: TL-R600VPN

Switcher: TL-SG1016D

 

With only 2 pcs connected, (ex: one pc browsing the internet at FB and the other pc at game playing), is it enough to get 100% usage on this router?

Anyone else using the TL-R600VPN having this overload and hang problem reaching easily router 100% cpu usage?

Any tips for keeping CPU usage down, I appreciate it.

CPU issue is complicated. You can try to upgrade the firmware again (20190227 upgrade to 20190227). Maybe it will refresh your CPU usage.

Where can I find this firmware version? Only TL-R600VPN(UN)_v4_20180530  version is available on the website.

I found the source of my problem!

It was the CCTV (DVR recorder) network card that "froze" its settings causing a disturbance in my internal network.

Looking for the problem, I removed the CCTV from the network and the router's processing decreased. It turned on again and the processing went up again.

I tried to make changes to the CCTV settings and found that it froze, and no longer accepted changes.

@Marcelo_Landi I have the same problem, after VPN connection to start downloading video, the router is using 100% CPU which causes connection loss. Do you have a solution to your problem?
