Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

As the title says, is it ok to mount this upside down?

The way this will be wired, with cat6, the connector is underneath the unit and the wire will come from above.

The question is regards to the omnidirectional signal travel, assuming the signal behaves like a traditional (wifi visualisation) doughnut, would that mean mounting upside down would make no difference and will be perfectly fine and the same as mounting upright?

P.s. whats going on with stock on these, everywhere (in the uk) seems to be on backorder!

Hi @bp1000,

RF signal wise you should be fine.  But by mounting the unit upside down there is a chance of water ingress through the hole for the RJ45 cable.  You'll need to protect it with an overhang or silicone, etc.

Thank you, good point about water ingress on the port. I shall stick with the correct orientation.
