Model: TL-R600VPN
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.4 Build 20200313 Rel.41831

I'm having trouble getting expected speeds.

Configuration:

WAN1 = 1000Mbps/50Mbps cable connection

WAN2 = 40Mbps/3Mbps DSL connection

Both lines have been tested to provide expected speeds when connected directly or through a Netgear R7000 router. When I remove the Netgear from the equation and connect everything to the TL-R600VPN, my speeds burst to 400Mbps but come down to about 200Mbps.

Port status is showing all connections with a 1000Mbps full-duplex link.

Transmission --> Load Balancing

Load balancing is enabled.

Enable Application Optimized Routing is enabled.

Transmission --> Load Balancing --> Link Backup

Not configured.

Transmission --> Routing --> Policy Routing

One IP range configured to use WAN2 for lower bandwidth traffic.

Other IP range configured to use WAN1 for higher bandwidth traffic.

Am I missing a configuration somewhere or do I have something improperly configured?

@jaryd

You can try to disable Application Optimized Routing.
