EAP225 v3 2.4ghz Issues
Hi all,
Have been using 3 EAP225v3's in my house for the last couple of years without many issues. I recently changed my ISP's modem from an older Hitron modem to an XB6 modem (from digital cable to "Ignite' fiber internet). But still keep the modem in bridge mode to my Netgear R7000 router, and then have a POE switch connected to my router that powers the EAP's.
The EAP's have reserved DHCP addresses on the router.
For some reason now, I am unable to connect to the 2.4ghz WiFi signal reliably. The SSID shows up, but while it connects sometimes, other times it just won't assign an IP and/or simply says "connected, no internet". Happens on all sorts of different devices.
I can connect to the 5Ghz radio/SSID just fine, however, some devices can't connect to a 5ghz signal, and in some cases the signal strength is no where near what the 2.4ghz is, so I typically have just used 2.4.
I can't for the life of me figure out why the 2.4ghz is not working, nothing seems to be off in the Omada controller. I have them set to a dedicated cannel (6) which is not used by others around me, and using 20mhz width.
Also, and as an aside, I installed the Omada controller which works on a laptop that unfortunately my wife left at work and I won't get back for a few days. For some reason when I try to install it on any other laptop, it doesn't seem to recognize that I have already set it up, and asks me to start something from scratch not recognizing there are 3 EAP's connected in my home. Not sure why that is!!
