Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20210113 Rel.35074

Hello Community,

I have a Internet Connection which is served through a ZTE PON cum Wifi Router which has Fiber cable connected to it.

So Fiber Cable --> ZTE Router --> PPPoE Credentials in Router --> Internet

Now I want to setup WAN Connection using ER605.

The Guide just mentions to enter Credentials as given by the ISP, but none mentions what needs to be done with existing setup.

Do we just need to Remove the WAN Config from Router and it will Let the ER605 configure the connection ? I tried that and it does not connect.

In The Videos for TL-480 + (Due to lack of Videos on ER605) , I see that the Page already shows connected in Status before the WAN links are even configured,

Can someone please give out some baby steps on how to configure this ??  and start with (Un)Configuring existing Router First . I am using ZTE F602W

F602W

Hello Everyone,

I fugured out what was the issue.

The IP Series of My Router and Load balancer were same, Thats why TP-Link was not getting an IP from ZTE.

i changed the series. set ZTE to 10.0.0.X and TP-Link ro 192.168.x , After a reboot, It acquiered IP and all Machines started Recieving Internet.

@iVaibhav Why would you want to "unconfig" the original router? Set it off to the side so you can swap it back in if need be, until everything is working and stable. Replace it w/ the R605, login in, put in your credentials, hit "connect". What happens after that?

@YATechMonkey ,

Thanks for your Response,

So Here is my Problem, I cant set the router off to the side as It has Fiber connected (Acting as PON too)

My Current Setup is with ZTE F602 which has Fiber Cable Connected to it and has a LAN Cable going to a Simple Switch which serves internet to All Rooms

Also it serves as Wi-Fi

Now , What I did was

1. Removed LAN Cable from Switch and Connected to R605 WAN Port

2. Connected a Cable from LAN Port of R605 to Switch.

Accessed the E605 Page from Desktop , This part works fine.

When I go to WAN Page, and select Dynamic IP , The right hand side shows Disconnected.

Now, Should I select PPPoE and enter the ISP Credentials here ?? and if I do, Do I need to remove it from ZTE F602 , or it shoud work with Dynamic IP as ZTE is already authenticating from ISP and getting an IP from them.

This is where I am stuck.
