Hi,

I'm trying to limit bandwith available to one of the devices connected to the switch. Is it possible to do at all? I read the manual and it seems to me that QoS rate limits should allow for such trick. The description reads:

bandwidth {ingress ingress-rate | egress egress-rate}
Configure the upper rate limit for the port to receive and send packets.
ingress-rate: Configure the upper rate limit for receiving packets on the port. The valid values are from 0 to 1000000 Kbps.
egress-rate: Configure the upper rate limit for sending packets on the port. The valid values are from 0 to 1000000 Kbps.

The lowest value I can set is actually 64 which I believe corresponds to 64Kbps. Unfortunately when I set this value nothing changes on the client side. I can still use the whole bandwidth available. Here is how the settings look like after applying:

T2600G-28TS(config-if)#show bandwidth interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/24
 Port        IngressRate(kbps) EgressRate(kbps)  LAG
 ----------  ----------------- ----------------  ---
 Gi1/0/24    64                64                N/A

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Best Regards,

Milosz
