Hi,

forgive my english but i am not native speaker.

 

I bought a TL-R605 because my internet provider's modem prevented me from properly managing DHCP and other things, now I have connected a TP Link TL-R605 router and I have no big problems, but I cannot view the cameras remotely and locally.

 

 

the DVR has an IP 192.168.1.100 connected to the router 192.168.0.1.

The IP of the router has not been changed, and the ports on the modem are open. If I connect the DVR to the modem it works regularly even remotely.

 

I can change the IP of the DVR but then I can't open the ports on the router (it doesn't accept 0.100), while if I leave the DVR IP 192.168.1.100 I can't even see it locally.

I think I should turn ports or create a Virtual Server, but I've done a lot of testing without being able to get results.

Can anyone give me some indication on how to solve the problem?

If your modem also work as a DHCP and NAT device(modem router), you can disable the DHCP function on the ER605, connect both the modem and DVR to the LAN port on the ER605.

 

If you want the devices to obtain IP address from the ER605, you need to change the IP of the DVR into 192.168.0.x and also need to set up Port Forwarding function on the ER605.
