EAP unavailable during software controller startup?
I can't find a direct answer to this question in my searches. I'm aware that while the Omada software controller is offline, there are certain features which are unavailable. I'm using the software controller on a Linux system. What I'm seeing is when I reboot that Linux system, the two EAP's it manages become unavailable for a minute or two. Is this the expected behaviour or do I have something misconfigured?

Hey Dave,
Did you configure fast roaming, mesh or other advanced features in this picture? Some of these features need to keep running the controller. Try to disable them to test.
And what's the version of your controller? Try to upgrade the firmware of both EAPs and controller.

@Somnus Thanks for the reply. I do have Fast Roaming and Band Steering enabled. I'll see how it behaves with those turned off. My Omada controller software is v 4.3.5 and EAP's are using 5.0.0. I see that there were newer releases a couple weeks ago, so I'll test that too.

@Somnus I left the advanced features enabled and updated the controller software and EAP firmware to the latest releases from 2021-08-13. My network now remains accessible through a controller restart. Thanks!
