Hello!
I have an AP Tp-Link tl wa 5210g and I tried to connect to a free wi fi emitter, but I can't. I am a seaman and in the port there are a few emitters of free wireless internet;I tried to connect from the ship. I set the AP,as is indicates in manual: IP adress 192.168.1.100 (the default IP of AP is 192.168.1.254), subnet mask:255.255.255.0 and then I set it as AP -client mode, and even if the AP sees many network(after pusshing "Survey"), cannot connect. In AP Client router mode I tried also to connect to a network ( after wiewing many tutorials), but whithout succes. Can somebody tell me how to configure my laptop and AP (IPs,subnet masks, dns, etc) to get internet wireless from an unknown free emitter? Thank you!

http://www.tp-link.us/article/?faqid=348
http://www.tp-link.us/article/?faqid=318 ignore on both the security step
reset your 5210 to factory default, both configurations will give you internet via lan cable, just put back your wireless adapter from lap top to obtain ip automatic

Gica you are confusing yourself just follow any of the 2 guides on post #2 you don't need to know the ip of your root router
I posted you put back your wireless adapter from lap top to obtain ip automatic when you start configuration you do this http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=41 what I am posting you at the end of configuration just undo it
