Model: ER605 (TL-R605)  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20210723 Rel.64608

Weeks i am struggling to make it work, no chance.

I followed this guide https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2026/

I set up Virtual server, ACL with an allow and a block (no matter if I use one or both wans in each setting, always same result)

Without the block rule, every external IP connection will be forwarded (and my UCM will be flood by bots).

With the block rule, the allow rule is not executed so every IP will be blocked, even if declared in Ip group in the allow rule.

Solutions? Found very little in forum and nothing helps.

@calpy Hi

1. Make sure your port forwarding rules are working properly.
2. you need to enter the correct information in the service type.
3. when you finally set the ACL, you need to set the allow entry first, and then set the block entry, and fill in the ID as well, they have priority.

@Yannie I know, that's why I am asking to community :(

 

I did everything in the guide and tried again from scratch but we miss any kind of log in this router so that is impossible to debug any weird behaviour.

 

I think this router is not a good choice if it is impossible to use one of the (important) features declared for the product.
