ER 605 Frequent Disconnections on Calls (WhatsApp, Skype, Teams)
I have setup a small network using ER605 using dual WAN. Ever since this setup, my WhatsApp calls on my cell phone (connected via WiFi) or on my laptop (connected via LAN) would get disconnected for one or two seconds and then come back. I am using my VDSL modem in bridge mode. If I disconnect the ER605 and connect directly to VDSL modem, there is no problem in calls. The interruption happens on WhatsApp, Skype and Microsoft Teams but Zoom calls work fine. Here's how my setup looks like.
I just have enabled load balancing.
I have very basic networking skills. I have setup continuous ping to my router, the internet and the public interface of my router and the appear to work fine without any disconnections. Thanks for any suggestions or pointers.
