Model: EAP265 HD
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I received an EAP265 and hoped to use it to extend my home wifi network, but I'm having some difficulty.  I am using the PoE adapter with a Cat6 cable running to the EAP, and I have a Cat5E cable running from my switch to the LAN port on the PoE adapter.  Is this the correct setup?  The light on the EAP never comes on and I can't see or connect to either of the default SSIDs.  I have tried using the reset button several times, but that has made no difference.  The light on the PoE adapter is solid green, so it appears to be getting power.  Am I missing something?  Other devices connected to the switch function properly, so the problem can't be with the switch itself.  I'm pretty new to networking so any help would be appreciated!

Did you use the original POE adapter to power it?

If so, suggest change socket and try different ethernet cables to test.

If it still no luck, contact the tplink support to get the replacement.

Ya, I'm using the original adapter. Changing out the cables made no difference. I've contacted support. Thanks for the help!
