Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20220512 Rel.77113

The Network contains the ER7206 as the Fibre ISP service on a 1G Ethernet SFP/WAN port

DHCP server feeding 4 Copper RJ45 LAN Ports and a TL-SG2210MP PoE Smart switch

Wired Clients include:

Windows 10 and 11 WS

4 Linux 20.04.4 servers

1 EAP-225 WiFi AP

Polycom VoIP Handset

Grandstream DP-750 DECT VoIP base Station

WiFi Clients include:

Gen 2 Nest Thermostat

2 Nest security and smoke alarms

Samsung Smart TV

Intel NUC 7

Cell Phone wifi

Android Device wifi

The network performance is 400/400 from the fibre internet and close to that WiFi performance from the EAP-225 The network works well but...

The problems are:

The DHCP client list takes hours to fully populate

Hostname to IP Address resolution is non existent

Any attempt to use the Omada Site Software refuses to adopt the "client devices"

Where to go from Here?

Hi  @Tim-Ryan

To gather feedback from others, I'd like to transfer this thread to the block of "Requests & Suggestions" so that it could be seen by more people.

May I have more details about the 3rd request "Any attempt to use the Omada Site Software refuses to adopt the "client devices"

An example will be much appreciated.

When I first got started with Omada I built out OC200, OC300, and Omada SDN LAN's on Windows 10 based workstations, this was 18 months ago. They worked fine. All of these were served by ISP fibre CPE devices that provided the DHCP services to the LAN environment. These were mostly Genexis gigabit fibre CPE's

Where I am having problems now are with the TL-ER7206 acting as the Fibre CPE with a 1G BiDi Fibre SFP as the ISP fibre connection, and the TL-ER7206 acting ast the LAN DHCP server.
