I'm having the same issue as this thread. In that thread it's suggested that the v1.0 hardware can be updated to the v2 or even v3 firmware and it should fix the issue. I just wanted to confirm that is correct because I don't want to brick the switch.

My current versions are:

    Hardware Version:         T2600G-28TS 1.0
     Firmware Version:         1.0.1 Build 20160412 Rel.57988(s)

Also if it is correct, would an update to v2 preserve my configuration? But an update to v3 would wipe it clean, correct?

Finally - my understanding is that firmware updates apply to the backup image, not the boot image, so there will still be a v1 to boot to if it does fail for some reason?
