Model: CPE210
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

Hi all,

I have 1 CPE210 and was wondering if I should just buy another one or update to newer AP's?

Its a short distance and will just be to access a camera and remote heat/humidity sensors in my beehives, depending where I go 163ft-185ft from my house across a clear wide open field with no trees.

Another question is when the remote client is setup does it allow you to create an AP to allow devices to connect back to my network or will I have to hang an access point off the LAN port of the Client CPE210?

I think I have 2 TL-WA801N AP's and an EAP110 laying around somewhere.

This will probably be a spring project as I will have to figure out what type of solar configuration I'm going to run to power the equipment on the client side :)

Thank you for any suggestions or comments in advance

@HackerJoe will do my best to answer.

As far as distance, according to the CPE210 specs, that should work without issue.

As for the CPE210 that you plan on putting at the remote end, which would be the client AP. I am not sure how that would work as an AP for devices near it.

Personally if you have a EAP-110 I would connect that to the LAN port of the Remote CPE210 and let it be the wireless AP on that end for your devices.

This is just what I would do using what you state you have on hand. There may be better ways.
