Firmware Version: V3.2

Hello,

I have just taken delivery of two CPE 510 devices. I have set them up as one AP and one client and they communicate well in test. However if I try and set the security level to WPA-PSK, they stop communicating. Both devices are set to the same security level and both have the same password. So, at the moment I can only get them to communicate if I operate them with no security.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks.

  @Bob_Upandoon

Which operation mode the CPE used? Did you set the same channel and channel width on both CPE?

What is the security option you choose for WPA-PSK? AES? WPA2-PSK?

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.

  @Virgo

Thank you for responding, it is much appreciated.

I did not 'set' the channels or width on either of the devices, they were left on 'Auto' for those options. The CPE510 are set up as 'Access Point (AP)' and 'Client'.

There were only 4 options for levels of security;

1) None

2) WPA-PSK

3) WPA

4) WEP

The default when 'out of the box' is None. In this mode the devices communicate ok. When I select option 2) WPA-PSK and create a password (for both devices) they stop communicating.
