I am trying to increase the DHCP range of the router to over 255 IP addresses, I have changed the router's subnet mask, so they're all in range, however when i increase the end IP address range outside of the the subnet 255.255.255.0, it says "Operation Failed"

I have asked the problem with the TP-LINK guys, they told me the number of IP addresses in the pool should not exceed 1024.

You can change from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.254.0. You will have 512 addresses now.
