Model : TL-SG3216

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 2.1.3 Build 20140515 Rel.43105(n)

ISP : OnsBrabantNet

Hi,

after upgrading, My TL-SG3216, from rel "2.0.6 Build 20120528 Rel.56030" to rel "2.1.3 Build 20140515 Rel.43105(n)" I have a problem getting in the "Privileged EXEC Mode"
I login, via an SSH connection with the admin account en when entering the "enable" command I get the message "No password set"

I can't find an option to set the password from the gui so I reset my switch to the default settings again but then I still face the same problem..

Any idea how I can fix this ?

Regards,
Hans Schenkelaars

You have to configure local login from the console port.

Once connected by console port you can try the following commands.

enable
config
line vty 0 5
login local
exit
enable password your-new-enable-password

And how to do this without accessing console port? Since I have no device with COM port, I cannot use cable provided :(

You should get one of these:
[h=1] USB RS-232 Serial Adapter by GearMo
Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHYJWWG/
It will auto install on the drivers from Windows Update Win8 or Win7 (and says XP as well) and you'll just need to check the Device Manager to see which COM# Windows assigned to it.
