Hi,

I want to set up a local network with the devices I mentioned above. Secondly, I want to assign a static IP via MAC address reservation using DHCP.

However, the static IP part is not working.

I am following the steps as shown in the images below for the setup. However, the IP I assigned in the 'Use Fixed IP Address' field is not being obtained by the client.

Since the local TP-Link support line was insufficient in this matter, I wanted to ask here.

I look forward to your support for the correct setup steps.

Thanks.

Hi  @mugurlu

I want to assign a static IP via MAC address reservation using DHCP.

>>>This is a feature of routers, there is no Omada router adopted on the controller, all the related config won't take effective.

You can make it work with an Omada router.

  @Vincent-TP

Is it not possible to configure the DHCP server and address reservation on the switch in standalone mode?

Why can't we do this with the Omada Controller?
Does that mean the Omada Controller does not have full control over the switch?

Hi  @mugurlu

We can do this via CLI command under controller mode:

below is a guide:

CLI Configuration Guide for Omada SDN Controller (v5.9.9 and above)

And below is the command to configure DHCP reservation:

ip dhcp server pool "pool-name"

address 10.0.0.100 hardware-address 00:11:22:33:44:55 hardware-type ethernet
