Hi all.

Im trying to achieve a non line of sight ( a 3 or 4 trees as obstacles) low distance connectivity with two TL-WA7210N

distance: 600 Meters 0.6KM
1x AP Mode: TL-WA7210N vertical polarization pole mounted (US as zone for better power 27dbm)
1x Client Mode: TL-WA7210N vertical polarization pole mounted (US as zone for better power 27dbm)

I get a remote rssi of 14dbm wich is very poor for what i need wich is about 30Mb/s Down / 15 Mb/s Up

any recomendations? like changing polarization (do i need to rotate de ap?)? some setting? i almost see the ap from where im stand.. but its definetlly nlos

it's a low density 2.4ghz zone, i only see 1 ap besides mines.

thanks for the help

well of course, i totally understand the trees thing! but i totally disagree with you about 5ghz being the worst for tree tops than 2.4ghz! but then again i totally agree that 900mhz is way better than 5ghz and 2.4ghz

Which channel are you using? you need to find a clear channel instead of using "Auto". Besides HT20 might be better due to less interference. If it doesn't help, try CPE210.

@fotodamaris, I mean using CPE210 on both sides because MIMO antenna brings diversity gain than single antenna. MAXtream is mainly used for PtMP scenario, especially helpful when there are hidden nodes in the BSS. Under NLOS, pick a narrow bandwidth (HT5/HT10/HT20) and a clear channel is quite important in 2.4G environment.

of course, 900mhz would do the job! but im not going to spend money on this setup! i add two spare TL-WA7210N
so ive tested it, im getting a 2mb/s up/down stable link with 17dbm (which i think its to low) but with NLOS its good... and yes i think cpe210 would do a way better job! can i choose a channel with less overlap like 14?
