System Log Email settings????

Can anyone tell me how to make the system log auto email settings to work? I have been trying everything.
Tried three different email accounts but the system keeps giving me "username and password error"
I know the emails are correct. I have tried to port forward the ports for each provider but no luck.
If anyone has this working I really would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks
