Use TL-WA5210G to extend WiFi signal into tin shed
Region : UnitedStates
Model : TL-WA5210G
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 4.4.8
ISP : Frontier
Hello,
Trying to use my TL-WA5210G (192.168.1.254) to extend Wi-Fi from Netgear B90-755044-15 (192.168.254.254) into a tin shed about 200 feet away. Please give your opinion on the best mode of operation and physical positioning of the TL-WA5210G. I attempted both AP and AP Client modes without success.
In AP Mode with Universal Repeater the TL-WA5210G said it was sending and receiving packets, but when I could not detect any change in signal strength when roaming the area with my iPhone. I also adjusted the distance setting to 0.1km.
In Client Router mode, it appeared to connect to my ISP's PPPoE, but did not say any packets were sent or received on the status page.
Any and all help appreciated.
