Can't connect to TL-WA7210N

I have a security camera setup in our farmyard and I want to connect it to my house through a bridged wireless network. I originally had a TL-WA901N as the access point and a TD-W8960N as the bridge which worked fine but due to the distance I was getting drop outs, so I replaced the WA901N with the WA7210N, but though I can see the MAC of the WA7210N when I survey, I cannot access or ping the IP of the WA7210N from my house.
Is there anything special I was supposed to have done to the AP to get it working? Or is there any advice anyone can give, I would appreciate it.
