Wan ports stop passing traffic
Region : Greece
Model : TL-ER5120
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Hi,
I have a TL-ER5120 configured with 4 WAN ports, each connected directly to an ADSL modem/router. All connections are PPPoE. The router is configured only for load balancing without using application optimized routing. Each dsl line has about 7Mbps DL capacity. Running a simple speed tests @ ookla returns ~28Mbps DL speed, so everything seems to be configured properly.
The problem is that after a couple of days of operation, the router stops passing traffic from one or even two wan ports, without the modems being offline. The status page of the router shows the connections up, but there is no activity on the particular ports. The problem is fixed after a quick restart. Anybody has come across a similar problem?
I haven't done any troubleshooting myself yet. I guess I'll need to start keeping notes which modem/wan ports stop working and try swapping modems. Till then, a ny ideas for a solution?
