Region : UnitedStates

Model : TL-SG3216

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version :

ISP : Time Warner

I recently purchased this switch and I liked it because it was managed and it allowed me to expand my network they way I needed it. However, in the past few day, I have only had it for less than a week, the switch stops responding, no ping, no web interface, it still works and the network continues to operate. In order for the pings to start coming in and the web interface is to power cycle the switch.

Has anyone had issues with this happening? I which I could get the firmware version for you right now but I would have to power cycle the switch and I cannot do that remotely. Please let know if you have any suggestions.

You are suggested to report the problem here with your network topology.

The firmware version is up to date, right?

Once I got to the location I was able to reboot the switch. It is odd, when this happens all the settings default to factory except the IP. I did check and the firmware was outdated, updated to the latest version and hoping this will solve the issue.

Good point. That seem to have fixed it for me too. Btw, before upgrading I disabled the SNMP based monitoring of the switch, which also made the problem disappear.
