Hardware Version : Not Clear

I have my R600VPN configured as a PPTP VPN Server. The PPTP server is in the same sub-net of my LAN, but not overlapping IP's. I can successfully log on to it from public hot spots, but can't, once on, access the internet. Nor, can I access any of my local LAN devices (media servers, NAS devices, etc.). It doesn't matter what type of client I use (PC, iPad, Android, etc.). Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

May I know what kind of PPTP VPN that you set up? PPTP LAN-to-LAN or Client-to-LAN VPN? And what is the topology of your network?

I'm not sure I understand the question. The R\r600VPN doesn't have any options for PPTP, just enable or disable. I, of course, have it enabled. I also have MPPE encryption enabled. My intended primary usage is to securely connect to the Internet when using public Wi-Fi spots by using this home VPN server. Does this make me a Client to LAN VPN?

I have a Windows PC, an iPad, IPhone & Android phones. All are able to connect to the PPTP connection I've set up, but once connected they can't do anything further. By anything I mean connect to Internet nor other LAN resources that are configured for sharing.

My topology is pretty simple. The R600VPN is directly connected to my cable modem via the WAN port. in the LAN ports are my local PC, a LAN wireless access point, a printer and a NAS device. The R600VPN is my LAN DHCP server. It's address is 192.168.0.1. The DHCP pool is 192.168.0.100 - 199. I have a couple of static addresses assigned in the 192.168.0.2 - 99 range. The PPTP server is set to 192.168.0.200 - 215. When I connect from a public Wi-Fi i can see my device has been assigned a 192.168.0.20x address. That makes me think all is well, but there must be something missing.

Is there something else I need to configure or set up? Thank you very much for your help.

Hey there ! I know you haven"t posted in a bit but I'd like to know if you have been able to resolve your issue and if so, what did you do ? I have a similar setup to yours (Cable Modem to Router WAN, 2 PCs on LAN, 1 LAN printer, 1 LAN to Wireless Router WAN port) but I can't seem to make things work for the life of me...

How did you manage to have your R600 be the DHCP for both Wireless AND Wired ? It works for wired connections but anything wireless gets it's IP adress from Wireless Router. Did you connect it in a different way?

Also, if you don't mind, what are you using to connect to your VPN?

You can refer to the FAQ 6. How to configure a PPTP Server on TP-LINK Router in the page 41 for help.
http://www.tplink.com/res/down/doc/VPN_Config_Guide_V2.pdf

And I think you may need to check the Use Default Gateway on the Remote Network.
