SX3008F always goes into bootutil on reboot
I have two SX3008F's. One of them, for some reason, always gets stuck on boot. I hooked up the serial port and found that every time it starts up, it gets interrupted by bootutil and needs me to hit '3' to continue startup. The other one doesn't do this. Is this a setting somewhere I'm missing? I just want it to boot normally unless I actually hook up the serial port and interrupt it...

@kayson1 If you back up the config and then factory reset the switch, before restoring the configuration back, does the issue persist? Just trying to see if it's a configuration issue or potentially a hardware issue.
If it persists even after the switch is factory reset, you might have a deeper issue.

@NeilR_M I reset it, shut it down, booted it up without a serial cable plugged in, waited a couple min, then when I plugged the serial port in, it was already in bootutil...

Hi,@kayson1
Thank you for posting on our business forum.
To help us troubleshoot the issue effectively, could you kindly assist us by confirming the following information:
1.Has this switch been working properly before? When did you first notice this issue?
2.Did you make any modifications to the switch before the problem arose, such as adjusting restart settings, upgrading firmware or other changes?
3.Could you please share details about the switch's status during a restart? For example, the behavior of the indicator lights, and how long the entire restart process takes.
Thank you very much for your kind cooperation.

1. I don't know when the issue started. It's happened before, but the switch generally doesn't get rebooted often so I just ignored it thinking it will go away.
2. It happened both before and after a recent firmware update. And after a factory reset on the switch
3. If I reboot the switch (via controller or disconnect power), it stays with the power light on forever. No other lights turn on ever. If I wait, say, 10-15min and plug in a serial cable, I can see that its in boot-util waiting for a command. If I hit the "start" option, then it boots up in a couple min.
Thanks!

Hi, @kayson1
Thank you for providing this valuable information.
This status typically occurs when the serial port receives input during the boot process, which interrupts the normal startup sequence.
We would recommend checking your serial port for potential issues such as oxidation or short-circuiting.
Furthermore, we also suggest connecting your PC to the RJ45 serial port, power cycling the SX3008F, and reviewing the complete boot log.
