Hello

I have a SG2424 V1, I have updated the software version to the most recent one.

I am able login into control panel and change everyhing however when try to change IP Mode settig to DHCP, the it hangs as soon as I press APPLY. The only way to recover is by repowering.

Does anyone have any idea why this happens?

After you configure DHCP mode, switch would get ip address from your former router. You need to check the ip address from your router, it could not be 192.168.0.1. And i also don't suggest that let switch get ip address from former router, better use static ip.

Thanks for the reply Federer.

The switch and machine are connected to each other only, i.e. isolated, while I did this. Prior to doing this. I change the switch IP address to 192.168.0.10 and my laptop to 192.168.0.11. I tried doing this via CLI over telnet, with same result.

As long as you have no DHCP server (!) running somewhere, the result you described is the expected one.

Don't use DHCP for the switch, use static IP only. To get back to the switch after setting to DHCP w/o a DHCP server, re-install factory settings and start over again. To do so on the TL-SG2424, press the reset button for 5 seconds.
