I've got a TL-R470T and the WAN1 port died, so I'm in the market to replace it. I'm trying to decide between the TL-R480T and TL-ER5120.
I have a ski house in Vermont and on the weekends the internet in my are really bogs down. I've got cable internet when it's not congested gives me about 10mbps down and 2.5mbps up.
I have DSL that's about 1.5mbps down and 0.3mbps up and finally I recently added satellite with similar speeds to the cable. I'd like the router to load balance so I get the best overall performance.
Would the TL-ER5120 work better than the TL-R480T this? Or would they both work equally well?

hey dude, I have a R480T and a ER5120, I think if your bandwidth is not very high , so both of them can meet your needs of bandwidth, but ER5120 has some features which 480T does not have ,such as DMZ port and so on. If you want a small rotuer and do not need many functions , 480T is better, if you want more functions and do not care about the size , ER5120 is better.

Thanks for the info. I don't need DMZ port and as you know, my bandwidth isn't very high. I wasn't sure if the ER5120 had some better load balancing features, but it sounds like it doesn't.
I'll order the TL-R480T.
