Hello,
I am working with CPE210 which was brough to me by a friend of mine from London. But I am not able to set it to maximum transmit power of 27dbm as per european guidelines it is allowing only till 11dbm. It is version 1.1. Can I change it to some firmware to make it work at 27dbm. I need this for my project.Also I tried with firmwares on US and India tplink sites but they are the same and dont allow me to set it to 27dbm.Could some one point me to a firmware that would allow me to set it to 27dbm.

The real max. power of CPE210 is 27dBm, antenna gain is 9dBi. The CPE510 has maximum real power of 23dBm and its antennas have 13dBi gain.
Both maximum settings (CPE210/CPE510) will give you an EIRP of 36dBm, that is 4,000mW (or to be more precise: 3,981.1mW).
If max. power of the CPE210 is limited to 11dBm in your country, that means that only 20dBm EIRP (11dBm TX power + 9dBi antenna gain = 20dBm EIRP = 100mW) is allowed.
Using 4,000mW in a country where maximum EIRP is limited to only 100mW for very good reasons, this not only could lead to big troubles for yourself, but also the FCC in the US and the regulatory authorities in the EU are reacting by forcing manufacturers to take technical measures which make it impossible to fiddle with TX power at all in the near future.

So you can set any value in OpenWRT's txpower setting, but wether this will actually work depends on other factors such as the active regdb settings in the kernel used by the CRDA (Central Regulatory Domain Agent) in OpenWRT's firmware.

Same problem with me...is there any way to set more then 11 dbm..?
My problem
1. there is no country option on login page at the begining of open web UI
2. There is no country On wireless setting after i open WebUI
I think wrong hardware was sent to wrong country
did tp-link know this..?
my cases is Europe version send to Indonesia..
Please help me to solve this problem

The news is: it's gone. FCC regulations have been tightened that much, because of the people who didn't care about regulations. Regulation authorities are even discussing to impede access to device parameters for end-users, so that they do not fiddle anymore with settings which can have an impact to the normal operation of other devices sharing the WiFi frequency band.

Hi,I have the same issue and solved it by opening Test-Mode via SSH . Your CPE210 is an EU version with the maximum transmit power limited as 11dBm according to regulatory region Europe. The region can't be selected but be fixed to Germany. There we go!
1. Login to CPE210 via SSH client such as Putty.
2. Type "testmode" and press Enter.
3. Please wait until you see"Testmode Enable" and then type "reboot" and press Enter.
4. Now you can login to the Web UI of CPE210 and you will see test mode option. With test mode, you will be able to choose 27dBm.
5. For how to disable test mode, simply hard reset CPE210 to factory default.
