Is it an advantage to put the POE Injector closer to the EAP if the distance from the switch is greater than 60m.

TIA, Regards, Mick

Yes, but maximum length of 100m for Ethernet copper cable (60m+40m) still applies.

Thanks R1D2 for the reply. I have a Hotel spread out over a large block. I will check my distances and if the run is under the 100m I will give it a try. When I connected it, it was appearing and disappearing from the network that so far consists of 2 x EAP 110-Outdoor 3 x EAP 110 and 1 x EAP 225.
Regards, Mick

Though the recommended distance for EAP110-Outdoor with passive PoE (from EAP to adapter) is 60m, and for EAP110/EAP225 with standard PoE is 100m, the real distance still depends, you can have a filed test.
The quality of your Ethernet cable will affect, you'd better choose a CAT5e or abover cable.

The EAP110 uses passive PoE (24 volts), too. Do not try to feed 48 volts standard PoE to it, it could break your unit.
