Hallejulah! I was almost about to come to the conclusion that TP-Link has let us down. They really need to consider communicating their roadmap better so we don't assume the worst.

This sounds like the same issue. It's like a bad version of the firmware causes the issue but there is no firmware that will fix it. So you'll need to get it replaced :(
