Also using the same setup, when the router is replaced with a dlink dir 615. I can access the dell pc from the laptop via remote desktop connection

Its not working in Lan. Am loosing wan ip address. it shows 0.0.0.0 in wan ip address. Also am using cat 6 cable from router to remote pc

@Kevin_Z Sorry my bad, Am trying to access the remote pc from the local network not from the outside network. Will the same settings what you mentioned above will work from the local network?
