It is hit and miss. Seems worse on an open connection. A SSID with security seems ok. If you Google it though seems to be a common issue Same behaviour on Unifi access point

Hi All, UPDATE: Did a Network Settings Reset on both iPhone and iPad and it is now holding a stable connection. Seems to be an iOS thing. Thanks for everyone's input. Ed

So you have a SSID with no auth and a portal with no auth and the ipad stays connected? Is it an out of the box setup? Ed

Its doing it on 11.3 and 12.1.1 - only when Portal is active. Driving me mad.

I have turned everything off - it seems to be when the ipad goes idle. Then it disconnects. Ed

Thanks, its not a weak signal as the AP is on my desk with the ipad. When i create a secure network with no portal it holds the connection fine. Ed
