When you use Omada Controller to manage the EAPs, if the Omada Controller is off-line, some features cannot work normally. More details about this, you can refer to the FAQ2051. So we recommend you to run the Omada Controller all the time.
You install the Omada Controller on the home PC, if you want to login to the Omada Controller on your office PC, you can enable Cloud Access on the Omada Controller, then you can access http://omada.tplinkcloud.com on your office PC to login to you Omada Controller and manage the EAPs.

If you don't run the Omada Controller all the time, jsut as R1D2 said, you can use the OC200 to manage the EAP. (OC200 is a hardware of Omada Controller). For more information about OC200, please refer to the website: https://www.tp-link.com/en/business-networking/management-platform/oc200/
